Political Research

The most critical aspect of any research endeavor is to properly identify individuals who accurately represent the interests and values of the target constituency (the “Target Group”).  Latino Political Consulting professionals are expert in applying the appropriate research practices/techniques necessary to confirm that the Target Group is, in fact, representative of the larger community of interest.

Social scientists have found that when interviewed, people are more likely to feel at ease and speak candidly to someone who looks and sounds like themselves, than they are with a member of a different group.  LPC leverages this principle when we design research studies and interview protocols by employing Consultants, Interviewers and Moderators who are culturally matched to the Target Group.

Focus Group Research
Focus Groups are an excellent resource to study the Target Group, because they allow the Moderator to gather in-depth information, while controlling cost.  A Focus Group entails assembling a panel of targeted individuals, led by a Moderator, to discuss a scripted agenda.  Utilizing a group format in one sitting is a cost effective means of gathering voluminous data.

The Focus Group Moderators are bi-lingual professionals who are well-versed in the issues and conversant with the Target Group.  The Focus Group setting allows for dynamic conversation and dialogue to take place and requires LPC’s Moderators to be on their toes!  LPC places well-prepared professionals in front of Target Groups to insure the very best results.

Focus Group Research primarily provides for the collection of qualitative data.  LPC fortifies this qualitative analysis with quantitative data through the implementation of a written questionnaire.  The same respondents who participate in the group discussion provide extensive information through written responses and ratings about their backgrounds, attitudes and experiences.  The qualitative and quantitative data taken together provide a wealth of insight into the Target Group.

Polling Surveys
A direct and concise method to obtain timely information is through polling.  LPC offers a variety of options to obtain quick and reliable results.  Among the options are:

  • Telephone Polling:  LPC’s directory database provides us with willing respondents who are a telephone-call away.
  • On-site Polling:  LPC’s Interviewers are experienced in on-site interviewing, be it a mall, a sporting event or other public venue to obtain up-to-the-minute information from the voting public.
  • Email Polling:  LPC’s directory database enables us to send mass email requests to track Target Group reaction to important, breaking news events.
  • Social Network Polling:  Through established internet social network sites, LPC can reach out to a growing segment of the population.

Mail Surveys
Traditional means of surveying are still a useful tool in today’s technology-inundated world.  Mail Surveys are cost efficient and reach segments of the population who are not “wired in.”  Seniors and the working poor are less likely to be reached through email, internet social networks or at public events.  A Mail Survey is the perfect means to reach out to these important and vital members of the Target Group.

One-on-One Interviews
The One-on-One Interview format provides detailed information about members of the Target Group.  Because this individualized interview provides highly in-depth information about one person at a time, it is typically used to understand how to best serve individuals with specific backgrounds, problems or challenges.
